Patti has been immersed in improving educational practices and teaching for over 40 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Education from Michigan State University. Patti also holds a Master’s Degree in Reading from the University of Michigan and continued graduate work in Reading from Oakland University, Texas Women’s University and National Louis University.
Patti has been a classroom teacher in kindergarten through high school, Reading Specialist, Reading Recovery teacher and trainer and Literacy coach. Patti has presented at the International Reading Conference and conducted literacy training for teachers and parents. Her teaching career has taken her from Detroit to Plymouth Michigan, Galesburg and River Forest Illinois, Fort Worth, Texas and back to Hinsdale, Illinois. Learning, teaching and inspiring children and teachers is a life passion. Reading and studying to understand the ever-changing landscape of education is a goal as Patti works for Crossland Literary to support teachers and children each day.
